Environmental Agreements On Climate Change

On 12 December 2015, the text of the Paris Agreement was adopted, a legally binding pact that contains all the elements necessary for the development of a comprehensive post-2020 climate change strategy – the period leading up to 2020 falls under the second stage of the Kyoto Protocol (the Doha Amendment). Some of the most important points are summarized below: several natural and human activities can alter the balance between the energy absorbed by the Earth and the energy emitted in the form of long-wave infrared radiation. These activities are both natural and humane and result from industrial and land-use practices that release or eliminate “greenhouse gases” capturing heat, changing atmospheric composition. The answer depends on who you ask and how you measure emissions.
